Playgroup Environment

The playgroup operates from the village hall, which is set up daily, with well-defined areas to support all areas of children’s learning and development, based on their current interests. Within the playgroup environment we introduce a variety of activities to engage and stimulate your child, these  include:

•       Snack café

•       Outdoor play including bikes, trikes, bat/ball games and nature rambles

•       Water/sand play

•       Play dough

•       Stories and books

•       Music and singing with piano

•       Painting, arts and crafts

•       Creative  and messy play

•       Movement, dance and drama

•       Cooking and baking

•       Dressing up and role play

•       Home corner

•       Small world imaginary play

•       Circle time talk and games

•       P.E

•       Writing/mark making in ‘the office’

 

•       Number play

•       Soft play shapes

•       Parachute games

•       Climbing Frame, see-saw, trampoline and balancing beams

•       Visitors such as: the fire brigade, police,                                                                         doctor, nurse, builder, dogs trust and pet shop.

     •  Outings to the local park, trips out including:farm visits, garden centre,

  • Harlow CarrGardens and Newby Hall.
